Island Block & Paving have options to suit most walling applications. The large selection of concrete building block types (as detailed below) are all compliant with As 3700. Quality Assured to ISO 9001:2015 & Australian made.

Concrete Blocks-  The Concrete block range is dense weight and natural grey in colour. The size range includes, 90mm, 140mm, 190mm, 240mm and 290mm width blocks in various types. Typical uses for concrete blocks include fire walls, load bearing or non-load bearing walls, fences and privacy walls plus many more.

Lightweight Blocks- The Lightweight block range is designed for easy manual handling and reduced WH&S risks being 40% lighter than dense weight concrete blocks with a slightly open surface texture. Sustainable blocks made with 70% recycled “ash’ content. Sizes include, 90mm, 140mm, 190mm and 290mm width blocks in various types.

Tech-Dry Water Repellent Blocks- Available in Natural grey and coloured, Tech-Dry Water Repellent sizes include, 140mm, 190mm, 240mm and 290mm width blocks in various types. The Tech-Dry Blocks are manufactured with a water repellent emulsion, a Tech-Dry mortar additive is supplied to create water-repellent mortar joints to establish a totally water-repellent wall. As a result of this; Tech-Dry blocks are the only accepted industry product that is “waterproof against wind-driven rain’’ as per CSIRO test results.

DIY Wall Blocks- Do it yourself, easy to use with self-locating connections like “lego” blocks the range is ideal as a substitute for concrete blocks laid on mortar. Wherever concrete building blocks are used, the DIY Walls Blocks can be used instead. Available in Lightweight or Coloured options 400mm x 200mm x 200mm. DIY Wall Blocks can incorporate Fence posts within due to the large core sizes. Engineering available.

Coloured Architectural Blocks “Blocks for the Future”- Our coloured, sustainable blocks have Global Greentag level A certification due to the use of a patented engineered sand derived from recycled glass. Sizes include, 90mm, 140mm, 190mm, 240mm and 290mm width blocks in various types, colours, and surface finishes available including smooth, exposed, and refined. Another key point is the coloured blocks are made with Tech Dry water repellent additives to prevent efflorescence and staining.

240mm wide Concrete Blocks- Generally designers detail 240mm blocks for levelling up foundations, constructing the ground floor walls of two-storey dwellings as well as using them for lift shafts and retaining walls to achieve greater wall heights. The 240mm block width allows for 100mm of load bearing or stud width, a 50mm wide cavity to comply with the B.C.A.

To enhance the lifespan, protect against efflorescence and water ingress, all coloured architectural blocks, including sustainable Blocks for the Future are also made with Tech-Dry water repellent additives.
