The Carbon Neutral Blocks for the Future offer designers the opportunity to create high quality, sustainable structures using architectural coloured building blocks comprising a high-quality engineered sand made from processed recycled glass aggregates. With a patented range of surface finishes including smooth, exposed aggregate and refined, Blocks for the Future are making it easy to be “green”. All Carbon Neutral building block products from Island Block & Paving are third party verified by Global Greentag and are also Global Greenrate Level A certified. To ensure longevity of colour and appearance all Carbon Neutral Blocks for the Future blocks are manufactured with Tech-Dry water-repellent additives, providing a low maintenance wall finish that allows designers the flexibility of incorporating various sizes, colours and finishes to complete the most impressive of contemporary designs, all at an affordable price as there is no cost impost on sustainable products compared to other non-Carbon Neutral products..
A Tech-Dry mortar additive is supplied to create water-repellent mortar joints to establish a totally water-repellent wall. Carbon Neutral blocks are the only accepted industry product that is “waterproof against wind-driven rain’’ as per CSIRO Tech-Dry test results. Tech-Dry blocks have been successfully used in the building industry for over 15 years and comply with relevant Australian Standards. Testing includes CSIRO test to ASTM E514-90 “Standard Test Method for Water Penetration and Leakage Through Masonry”.
