The manufactured 25mm thick Brick Slips are also known as brick facings or brick snaps. The thin Brick Slips allow specifiers to achieve carbon neutral, lightweight brick walling and flooring projects in on trend colour tones. Providing the durability and aesthetics of bricks, with the added advantage of light weight installation.
The Brick Slips range includes manufactured corner bricks. No saw cutting is required, therefore nil waste generation and no safety risks with silica dust.
The result is much lower carbon emissions at cost effective pricing. Available in various surface finishes, the slips are made with water repellent inhibitors and are guaranteed to be dimensionally accurate. Water Resistance: To prevent staining, maintenance and water ingress it is important that any Brick Slip specified have excellent water-resistant properties. The 25mm Brick Slips range lead the brick facing market for water absorption with a tested (CWA) cold water absorption rate of less than 3%. Manufactured with Tech Dry water repellent additives blended in manufacturing; a water repellent mortar additive is also available, resulting in CSIRO tested walls that are deemed to be water repellent in wind driven rain. In comparison sawcut clay brick alternatives report CWA levels of between 7% and 15%.
